Syncing Your Saved Data

Open Sync Data from the Sync data button on My Dashboard, or go directly to /sync.

Sync lets you move saved toolkit data between browsers or devices. Everything is stored locally in this browser with IndexedDB until you export or share it.

What Gets Synced

A backup includes:

  • Gift Calculator search, gift inventory, and relationship points
  • Troop Calculator saved troop stats and CPP values
  • Crate Tracker open and completed crate cycles
  • My Dashboard timers, Lucy routine, weekly checklist, merc lists, notes, and preferences (including alarm volume / enable flags and the custom alarm file name if set)
  • your theme preference (light, dark, or system)

Custom alarm audio blobs stay on the device that uploaded them and are not included in Sync JSON backups or share links. After import on another browser, re-upload the sound there if you want the same custom alarm.

The Level Calculator remembers Advanced mode preferences on this device, but its main calculator fields are not part of State Sync. The Diesel Calculator does not save state, so it is not included.

Export a JSON Backup

  1. Open Sync Data.
  2. Choose Download backup.
  3. Keep the JSON file somewhere safe (password manager, cloud drive, etc.).

Use this when you want a full offline copy or a file you can restore later.

Import a JSON Backup

  1. Open Sync Data in the target browser.
  2. Choose Choose backup file and pick your JSON file.
  3. Confirm Import when prompted.

Import replaces matching saved data in this browser. It does not merge partial fields.

Use a share link when you want to open the same backup on another device without sending a plain JSON file.

  1. Open Sync Data.
  2. Choose Create share link.
  3. Copy the link and open it on the other device, or paste it into Paste share link.
  4. Confirm Import when prompted (opening the link directly also shows the prompt).

Share links are compressed to keep URLs shorter. Very large backups may exceed browser URL limits โ€” download JSON instead.

After Import

Open the relevant tool or My Dashboard to review restored data. If a page was already open during import, reload it to pick up changes.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid backup file โ€” the file is not valid JSON or not a toolkit backup.
  • Invalid share link โ€” the link is malformed or the backup data could not be read.
  • Link too long โ€” export JSON instead.
  • Missing data after import โ€” confirm you imported on the same site origin and did not clear site data afterward.
